Having just returned to Paris from a business trip abroad (mostly to China at the behest of Persia's Shah of Shahs.) I am frightened to learn of what's gone on at the Opera in my absence! Clearly, Erik's situation has gotten out of control. Obviously I need to re-situate myself to the man, that I may attempt to protect my own position...as well as my friend.
